It’s funny how life changes our perspectives. History used to be my least favorite subject in school—I never would have picked up a history book for fun. If I read anything about history, it was only because a teacher or professor made me.

Rhode Island blew me away—literally and figuratively! For this journey, I chose to stay in Newport and branch out to explore nearby towns. I visited during the first week of March, and Newport greeted me with cold, fierce winds.

This is my third time to visit Oklahoma.  My first visit was in 2021, when I explored Tulsa and Pawhuska.  That trip came right after the loss of my furry baby, Coco, and it was exactly what my soul needed during that sad time.  The experience was peaceful and comforting.

Nebraska, pleasantly surprising! I thought it was a state that was smacked in the middle of the Great Plains with not much to see or do. It is small, but it packed a punch. Historic charm with a modern flair.

As a solo female traveler exploring the enchanting northeastern region of New England, I found myself falling in love with Massachusetts — and especially the iconic island of Martha’s Vineyard. This charming destination quickly earned a spot in my top 10 favorite travel experiences.

I absolutely fell in love with Colorado's summer side—from the striking reds and coppers of Gateway to the lush greens and blues of Vail Valley, the beauty of this state continues to amaze me. No matter the season —whether blanketed in snow or bathed in summer hues, it’s a place that offers new horizons at every turn.
